Stephen Winnall

Stephen Winnall, the founder of Vimia GmbH, has been active in e-business in various roles since 1994.

At Credit Suisse he played a significant role in the establishment of the Internet presence and the development of the e-business strategy. He was head of the Technical Committee for E-Commerce of the Swiss Commission for Financial Standardisation and represented Credit Suisse in various other organisations (including Mobey Forum, Swisskey, Smartcard).

Stephen Winnall has also gathered broad experience in various aspects of IT (security, data modelling, artificial intelligence, system management, user support, compiler development) as Head of Development and Head of Professional Services, amongst other roles, in the areas of telecommunication, public services and software development.

After completing his studies (Linguistics with German and Swahili subsidiaries), Stephen Winnall worked for VSO for two and half years as an English teacher in a secondary school in Kenya.
