Xw

Xw ("X-Warehouse") is a platform independent respository for XML data, integrating XML catalogs.

The XML data is stored in an XML database (initially Exist) and is accessed by the user via various interfaces: Xw can be loaded as a Fuse filesystem and operates in this case like a normal file system; Xw content can be queried with XQuery; and a Swing application similar to Apple's iPhoto is provided for browsing through Xw (with document previews).

Xw will be implemented initially only for Mac OS X and Linux, unfortunately. A Windows version will follow as soon as an adequate implementation of Fuse is available on Windows.
